Vinous - Score: 96(2016 February)
Bright amber-gold. Penetrating, pure aromas of baked apple pie, saffron, toffee and crystallized ginger. Multilayered in the mouth, with laser-like acidity providing clarity and cut to the almost oily mouthfeel. Bittersweet, smoky botrytis notes linger endlessly. This marvelously refined, ultra-sweet Pinot Gris benefited from the relatively cool vintage, which allowed for slower development of noble rot and greater complexity. The grapes grow in the Pflostig
